The Ford Thunderbird was introduced in 1955 as a sporty, luxurious two-seater car and then went through several design iterations. The classic 1955-57 V8 designs featured a removable fiberglass top and fender skirts. From 1958 to 1960 a more squarish, low-riding four-seat design was produced; and from 1961 to 1963 the car took on a sleeker, 'bullet' look.
