This little 5" pixie/elf planter was on the showcase wall at Volunteers of American this morning. The pixie's face is done in a matte glaze but the rest is shiny. I thought it was interesting and it had a label too. Try as I might I haven't been able to ID the company. The top part of the label is missing except for a few blurred letters which look like "E L B" just can't make them out due to the label's age. It does however say "hand decorated" Cleveland, Ohio. So it's a local piece but I'd need a list of pottery companies in the Cleveland area from 1920-30's on to try and figure out which one it came from. I can find all the big names online but they don't start with these letters. If anyone knows that sure would be great. These seem to have been popular at one time from what I've researched online. -Mike-

I thought that might be it too agcollect, but they made primarily glass floral containers. I have quite a few of those especially in milk glass marked E.O. Brody on the bottom. I think they were known as the National Pottery Company early on and Napco later but not too sure, so maybe you're right. Doesn't seem to be a lot of pottery images online though it's always glass.
