This Chinese tea set has been in the family for as long as I can remember (and I'm 41)! Something in the back of my mind tells me it was on Antiques Road Show at some point and it was fake, but my mothers first husband collected antiques and this is where it can from. So what so people think? Fake or real?

    Hi, the figure in the center photo on the right (when rotated) is a geisha, the colors and patterns are more typical of Japanese porcelain. I looked for the mark, rotated 180 degrees as vetraio suggests, in Gotheborg's online list without finding it, not unusual. Regards, Jim

    Looks like hand painted enamels on Japanese porcelain, probably made for export. Similar to KUTANI ware, but the mark is not quite right. I would say early 20th century.
