As you may know Nippon means Japan, and your piece was made for Meito China in the Nagoya area of Japan . The mark on your plate indicates that it was made between 1908-21

The porcelain was also sold under the name Nagoya Sheito Sho Company

PS. You will not find this company on any Nippon collectors’ websites as they concentrate on the manufacturers that, for the most part, became part of the Noritake group of porcelain makers.
