I actually found a pair of something for once today. These beautiful 4" to 6" tall quail figurines came from Salvation Army. I would never have guessed these were "Kutani" if they didn't both have their original gold foil labels. It says "Trade Mark Genuine Kutani Made in Japan" along with the Japanese characters for Kutani .They are heavily gilded with no damage or wear that I can see. The label is shown on Gotheborg's Kutani porcelain marks section as #1077 dating them to 1950 or later. Definitely mid-century during the Japanese/Chinese modern craze. They look great with all of my vases. -Mike-
