I found these dolls in the attic, my family have no recollection of their history so they must be from a previous owner.

I have four of the dolls and were simply wondering if anyone had any knowledge as to their background, I'm sure they'd be happy to know as well!

    Thank you,

    Jonathan

Hi Jonathan, any markings on them, back of the head or neck?

Hi Jewels, there are no markings whatsoever; the head is covered with the hat, which cannot be removed, the neck is exposed but with no markings. Thanks

Hmmm okay, that's where my "expertise" ends haha! There are doll experts who will see this and can help you. My thoughts are that they are more modern decorator dolls, but remember that is just an opinion. They are really cute!

Ah, thanks for helping anyway. My, very base, knowledge tells me they are fairly old; they seem extremely fragile and the clothing shows a lot of wear. Also, the body is broken up into segments and sewn/stitched together, this doesn't seem to be the case in modern dolls; they usually go for a 'unibody' style.

:) yeah, I understand, physically holding something makes all the difference and you can get a better sense of quality, age, and such. There is a sweet person on here named mani and she will help you as she is an expert. Actually, I joined this site years ago because I had a question about a doll. My first posting! She helped me with it.

I will try and upload some more pictures when I have the time. Thanks for your response, I look forward to hearing from Mani, hopefully she sees this ad!

      Thanks again!

On my little doll, I couldn't see that she was marked until I really pulled down the neckline of her dress really far and her back had Germany written on it

Hi JW I really need a close up of face so I can see painting technique and if their clothes come off one in nude to see body construction . They are cute guys and if you can add more photo's it would alot . I will watch for new photo's :-)
