Desk Paper (Legal Document) Embosser

This is an embosser used to officially stamp paper documents. It's about 1.5" wide x 4.5" long and 5" tall to top of unlocked handle.

Information on the handle reads: "OFFICIAL" K-O DESK PAT.2,706,448; British Columbia Stamp Works Ltd. The patent number on this model dates to 1955: http://www.google.com/patents/US2706448

This model uses removable (interchangeable) spring-loaded plates, as seen in the 4th photo. The stamp this one creates is also shown in the 4th photo and reads: CENTRAL VIEW APARTMENTS LTD. SEAL

I've posted this in "Office Antiques" because I couldn't find another place that seemed suitable; although I wouldn't consider this to be an antique.
