    These beautiful cast iron sauce dishes/ramekins came from my grandpa'a house. I have had them for 15 years but my guess is that my grandfather purchased them in the fifties. I really have no idea what they are bit just assume they are for sauces. If anyone knows their purpose or has seen them before, I would live to learn more!!!

      In the 1960'-70's it was common to see oversized coins sold as drink coasters. I would think these represent cash pieces and are ment to be used in the same way.

      These would be great to bake in, the bread would come out decorated :). Whatever it is, they are beautiful!

      if you were making short bread you could dust those with flour place some short bread in them and press lightly so they pick up the marks, and then turn them out, place on a tray and bake. just a thought
