    A oil painting done by a German pow he was on A merchant ship being transported to norkolk va.he ask for a work detail so he could get out of the hole of the ship my dad was the chief stuwart on the ship he ask for a painter for the gally when the prisoner saw the gally he told my dad that he painted paintings my dad ask if he could paint the ship he was on he told my dad he could paint the one next to him he did the next day it was sunk by a German u boat he used the hair from his head 4 a paint streached out a canvas flower sack and used the ships paints this took place in 1944 I have all the paper work to prove all.

      I did mean to say that he used the hair from his head to make a paint brush.

      WOW! Beautiful painting abd its even more amazing that its a WWII period piece. I love items that have history not only to the family but America as well.
