My mom picked this up at a yard sale and thought I would like to sell them but through all my searching I have no idea what they are or where they are from. I have 2 of them and they are very unique and well crafted. I know they look like marionette puppets but can anyone tell for sure? Or provide a website or two that could help me figure this out?

They are pop up puppets but look to be old and can't figure out where they came from and a possible year. I have found some online but the ones I saw looked newer .
