I was just given a G.E 75425 type AO form r5 from 1915. It runs well on all 3 settings but will not oscillate (I believe a gear is missing). It has been sanded a little to clean it off I guess. Does not appear to have any rust or damage. Brass blades and cage have been polished some but still retain some of the tarnish.

I love the look of it "AS-IS".......But my question is.

Would it be better to restore it or leave it like it is? I am not going to sell it either way. Love it to much to do that.

You were given a home run, make that a grand slam. Also a Holy Grail or close to it.
It has a brass cage and brass blades and the big pan style motor. Don't even think about restoring it.

Thanks!!! Good to know. I thought it might be better to leave it alone but wasn't sure. Always good to have some validation from others who know more. Thanks again.
