    OBTW...is the same picture on both sides ? The one on the left has the spout on the right and the other two are turned with the spout on the left.

    Dear Savoy - I'm not sure if my earlier response transmitted. The portraits are just on one side of the ewer - thus, the ewer on the left is in fact a left-handed ewer. The reverse sides have gold scrolling, but no other designs. Thank you for your comments. Best regards.

    Amarcus, no it had not come through so thanks for the follow up. Do you think they actually made "pairs" with the same picture?

    With Savoy/Deena there were sets although I think most people didn't pay attention to that.

    Savoy, yes - there was a series of 4 portraits of women with flowers in their hair - one with roses, one with gardenias, one with poppies and one with clematises. These items have various marks that were used by the E. S. (Erdman Schlegelmilch) factory of Prussia. I will post some more examples soon.
