In excellent condition for age this block plane was manufactured at 113-119 Little Lonsdale St. Melbourne probably in the 1950s or 60s.
'PS Sharman & Co., Phillip Sharman had an engineering/manufacturing business in Melbourne, first Austral Argo Engineering which manufactured taximeters (started with his father) and later P. S. Sharman and Co. which manufactured munitions during WW2, hand tools and other equipment after that.'
It's actually well over an inch longer than a Stanley 220 and larger in proportion overall. Quite comfortable to use as well!
The only thing missing is the box lid, the paperwork is a bonus gem!
