   Malachite is a poisonous stone with which to work. Over time it can kill you if you don't protect yourself against the dust. In rock form it is ok and beautiful. It is one of my favorite natural stones. And being a bit Scott on the McDaniel/Mackey/McClaren parts of the family I guess it is natural that "I like it too."

   It is not harmful to wear. It is to breath. Polishing the stone causes air borne dust that can be breathed into the lungs. The green in the stone is due to copper.
