This is perhaps a 1936 unit (the tag on rear of stove seems to say), and both stove & oven work, as does the "box" refrigerator. Lift the lid and it is a 15 inch cube inside with food at the rear freezing and at the front merely cold. But I've never seen one like it anywhere. The fridge says "Type LK-2-16" and the serial number 5142197. The Stove/oven is a "Model G14" with the date 1936 in the corner. The serial number is 179453. I just want to find out about it, as I've used it off and on for 10 years.
Really neat, never seen this before, wonder if it melted the fridge every time the oven was on ?
To PhilDMorris; Nope - the oven heat had absolutely no effect on the refrigerator, as whatever insulation they surrounded the fridge box with was over 2" thick, and the bottom of the box only extend 15" down, or about 1/2 way down the depth of the oven. As far as cooking on top, the ceramic burners with "Spring Coil" elements seemed to heat faster than the one "conventional" burner. I did have to make an aluminum makeshift knob for the right front "conventional" burner, as the original (bakelite, I suppose) was missing. And, like you, I've never seen another appliance(s) like this before, either. I wish I knew for sure what it is and when it was made. The tag says 1936 or 1937.
