i saw this at Urban Ore in Berkeley yesterday. The price was really high, but i thought it was beautifully done. It appears to be signed [something] Batchelor. haven't even searched it yet. no time these days...

do you think it's an oil or acrylic?

Hard (for me) to tell whether it's oil or acrylic without seeing the actual painting (and even feeling the surface). I do know that the girl is wearing a Kimono and not something Chinese or Korean. Cute girl. Nice painting. [;>)

Without even looking at the signature, we know that the artist is not Japanese. The girl is wearing her Kimono incorrectly. In Japan, females wear their Kimono tucked in right to left. Males wear their Kimono tucked in left to right, like the girl is wearing her Kimono!..... LOL! [;>)))))
