Hi, I'm looking for any information at all on this beautiful dresser. I got it from my Grandmother's home and have searched and searched for similar pieces with no luck. I cannot find any markings to help identify it. It appears to be birds eye Maple I think. Has very detailed carvings and the painted cherub scene in the center. Any thoughts on country of origin, time period, manufacturer or style would be greatly appreciated. I absolutely love it and would love to know a little more about it. Thank you!

Welcome from me too. It is a beautiful dresser, you're very lucky to have it. Doing an image search for commode does bring up some dressers, but mainly a toilet built into a chair. I've never heard of a dresser being called a commode as well.
