    I think but am not sure that it is J Bonner as the signature, but here is a great oil on canvas painting of purple irises. It needs a good cleaning, but it was too quality to pass up at the thrift store. $8.

    I hung it in the living room to surprise my parent, but even as she stood in front of it she somehow has missed it for the last several hours. LOL.

    Idea on age? I'm guessing last 30 years?

      This reminds me of a friend I visited in Montreal. When they were all out and I was the only one inside. I looked carefully at the iris paintings. My friend had copied the front cover of Architectural Digest piece by piece and had repainted all the iris paintings that were above the AD furniture which my friend had. The magazine was in the bedroom I occupied.
