from the photo lot from french ebay.
to me, it appears that "Me Duplessis" has been written, but i'm a bit rusty on my french abbreviations, so upon looking up the title "Me," I found it to mean Maitre, which appears to be a title for anyone in a law profession. i'm coming up empty again looking for names, so perhaps it was the name of the owner of the photograph? once again i'm welcome to any input!

Second word is Vaudeville, French for variety show. So, probably a show artist rather than a law professional.
Or "Vaudeville" could be the theatre's name where the actress worked. "Me" could be short for "Marie" Duplessis. Maybe look for Marie Duplessis + Theatre Vaudeville
I know that Marie duplessis was indeed a real person and a famous Courtesan, in fact; however she passed away quite young in 1847 of tuberculosis so I highly doubt this would be her.
