I think she's a Kestner. Just not 100% sure. She belonged to my neighbor who sent her off for an appraisal, but still didn't get a straight answer. I inherited her after she passed. She's got the fully jointed leather torso and fixed eyes. She does have porcelain feet. I have her wig cap, but no wig. I'd really love to solve the mystery of what she is. Thanks for the help!!!

Your doll is not a Kestner and without removing the kid leather covering part of markings hard to tell who made her . The number shown are merely size numbers for workers to put on right size body . She does not have a look of a Kestner and they always have a plaster pate . The person you took it to also could not see a mold number to ID her . There were many companies making these dolls and she has a common Doll Face s no feature that helps ID her . When I can I will try to find the half of logo showing in one of my books . She is not rare it is just many companies did not document as well as others is all.

That explains so much! (And also why I couldn't match her to any Kestners.) Any idea how old she might be, Manikin? I was guessing early 1900's to 1930 maybe. I don't know which era in my collection to stick her in. Thanks for sharing your knowledge once again!
