Small wooden carved horse

Approximately 4.5 inches tall carved wooden horse. Stand and horse are all carved from a single piece of wood. Hooves, mane, and tail are painted black but paint has faded. Purchased at garage sale by my mother 60 years ago in Southern California. Have not been able to find anything about the artist....see wood burned name located on bottom of the stand.
