I don't know about OSU or not offhand, but would be seriously curious if there is (or was) a "St. John [Church &] Sunday School" in your area...just a guess though...? ;-) :-)

I don't think a Sunday School would have enough money to stamp their chairs, and also buy chairs like this?

I have one like it and it is stamped in Fancy Script W.S.T.A

The 'Sunday School' part for the pair of S's is only a complete and total guess on my part (since it fits?) but one way or the other, *LOTS* of old churches (schools, funeral homes) had closetsful of stacks and stacks of wooden folding chairs like this, which were often marked in some similar fashion. (ultimately to show who they got 'borrowed from' but not 'returned to'...??) Yours here look to be slightly on the 'older' side (1920's-40's??) because of their 'curved front leg' design with the little bit of ridged detail decoration, but again that's a total guess on my part.
