I picked up this gorgeous framed Audubon print last week for less than $200, inclusive of buyers premium. It is an authentic and scarce Bien edition print.

Thankful for the small auction houses that have no online bidding!!

Not an expert on audubon prints but just knowledgeable enough to know that the double elephant folio print was not a giclee or reproduction. Some obvious trimming when removed from the book. Had the requisite marks, aside from the “drawn from nature...” that had been trimmed from lower left. Consulted with nationally recognized audubon experts who confirmed my suspicion.

Thanks Valentino. The love of history, as well as my passion for research, have lead me to this hobby. In retirement, I now find it becoming more an obsession though!
