small Wm. P Hartley's crock

This little thing measures only a little over 4" tall and 3-1/4" across its top. A slightly (typically) sorta off-white color as lots of other crockware tends to be, its bottom reads "NOT GENUINE UNLESS BEARING WmP.HARTLEY'S LABEL", no other marks much less labels still present, or in fact a lid it probably once had. A quick google search suggests Wm. P. Hartley's was (is?) a quite popular manufacturer of high quality jam/etc in the United Kingdom.

It'll otherwise make a nifty pencil holder or something anyway, I suppose, a duty it most likely most recently served before I came across it...?? <giggle>
