The mark of an expert craftsman of miniatures is the ability to make the object appear full size.
The craftsman of this ONE INCH TALL coffee pot has certainly achieved that effect.
This was crafted from a British rifle casing (marked "RL 09" and "VI").
The handle is made from the casing. It was cut, delicately folded back on the shell body and then finished with a small brass pinhead at the solder point.
The lid is also from the shell brass and has a tiny hinge and another decorative brass pinhead applied.
Along the front edge it is period engraved with "European War".
