Hello everyone!!
One of my rarest doorstops is this Bradley & Hubbard “Squirrel Eating Nut” doorstop. This one dates to the very early 1900’s. He had a lot of surface rust when I got him, but, to my surprise, still retained remnants of paint remaining. Only part of the base coat paint remains and you can still see a bit of green below the log he stands on and about 30% of the original gray paint on the backside. Bradley & Hubbard was always considered the Tiffany’s of doorstops due to their highly detailed features and this one is such a great example of their work. He measures 11 1/2” tall and 9 7/8” wide. He weighs in at 10 1/2lbs!! In the world of doorstops, this one carries a very high value!!! My red oaks are heavily producing this year and I thought I'd make use of them as you'll see in pic #2.

Thanks so much!! These are extremely rare to come by, especially in this condition. I have red oaks in my yard and they've produced abundantly this year. So, I thought the acorns would make it nice Autumn display.
