Hello everyone!!
Another rare find is this 1920's cast iron "Scotsman" doorstop. These are extremely difficult to find, so I jumped at the chance to buy this one. I know he doesn't really look like much, but he is a highly sought after doorstop. In case any of you might be wondering, that's a golf club in his hands and not to be mistaken for a pipe. We've had friends stop by and check out my doorstops at home and immediately thought it was a pipe, but it's actually a golf club.
This was cast by National Foundry in the early 1920's and was listed in their 1920's catalog at #47 "Scotsman". He's in really nice condition still, with only minimal paint loss. He's quite heavy and stands 11 7/8" tall, 7 3/8" wide and weighs in at nearly 9 1/2lbs.

Thank you!! I love this one. If you look very closely in pic #4 you'll see faint plaid lines still remaining in his tam. I thought that was great as I never knew there these had plaid tams.
