This shortened grenade casing from the Danish army is a thrift store find. Hight 5.0 cm. Diam. 13.3 cm. Weight 2.65 kg. Apparently from 1950. I don't know what the rest of the inscriptions mean. And I don't know what it has been used for. As an ashtray perhaps ?

Not a grenade casing. It is a shell casing for a 20 pounder, mark 2. Believe that was a naval gun, based on size posted.

It is trench art. The applied hat brass is nice— not sure on it as I am not that knowledgeable on non US items.

Many uses— ash tray, paperweight, loose change collector…. Who knows, but the felt on bottom/ badge orientation indicates it was made to sit open side up.

The early Centurion tanks that Denmark used had 20pd guns.

      The tanks rounds were 84mm.

      Poster measured this as 133mm.
