I'll admit I thought he was a bear at first, especially in brown, but hippos are really cool and a bit...under done when it comes to glass animals? I love his pose, it's so silly and cartoony, which again, really reminds me of those hippos in...Disney's Fantasia I think? They looked large and cumbersome but actually they were very agile! :)

Phil it's really a nice model of a hippo, Fenton gave it that endearing chubbiness, always a mix of fantasy and reality
Scott he is a lil cutie, although not tall he's got that impressive girth and I love the two raised feet looking like hands
Kevin I know you like Fenton glass too and finding this unusual animal I was like, yes! It's great to see something different from them, only wish it were a pure amber color cause the carnival type glass is really hard to take pix of, esp the features on the head
Lauren yes, hippos are rare to find in glass, and I do remember the Disney hippos dancing a ballet & it was probably Fantasia, you really have excellent recall and it delights me to remember things I enjoyed about my animals, thank you! Glad I could find a different sort of animal than my usual, I still have a couple surprising ones I think you'll like coming soon
