Hello everyone!!
I’ve had this pair of bookends for sometime now and had forgotten about them until I spotted them in my shop today while painting a couple of cast iron dogs.
These are cold painted bronze chefs riding geese. They’re solid bronze and quite detailed. I have to believe that the chefs riding geese are representative of something or another, but I’ve yet to discover that. These bookends measure 5” tall, 5” long and 2” wide. There are still many of these in the marketplace, but I'm not truly sure when or where these were made.

Terrific bookends with an amusing design...the geese are escorting the chefs to their restaurants in 'high' style :)
