Scott, it's a very bold and realistic orchid that really catches your eye, I loved it on sight
Maureen isn't this a great flower design, although this type orchid is seen in Brazil (posted for their holiday now) it reminds me so much of Hawaii where orchids were everywhere
Phil, the designer Ms Stewart must have drawn on a real cattleya orchid for her inspiration, I agree it looks as if you can reach out & touch it
DejaVu, her jewelry is certainly well crafted, this is the third brooch of hers I've posted & one other I'm saving for an astrology post :) This orchid is very collectible now and I really had to search around for a good deal, I believe this one is also featured on the nasvete kaleidoscope effect site
