The mannequin shown is wearing the standard blue reefer jacket as worn by Kriegsmarine officers during WW II. The four gold bullion rings, and the gold bullion star on the sleeves show the rank of Korvettenkapitan, with him being a line officer. The white topped cap was used by u boat commanders while at sea. The cap also has gold bullion oak leaves on the brim which also depict the rank of Korvettenkapitan. The original enamelled badge on the cap is that of the 1st u boat flotilla which was based in occupied France. The awards are the Knights Cross which is worn around the neck, and the Iron Cross 2nd class which is represented by the red, white, and black through the buttonhole. Also worn is the u boat frontspange in silver, four and twelve year service ribbon bar, Iron Cross 1st class, and the u boat war badge awarded for going on two patrols
