I have a 1951 Canadian yellow Coca Cola sign. Not in the best shape but I'm interested if anyone has any information on yellow Coke signs. I believe the colour is factory applied paint and is original. Some one thought it was probably faded but I don't believe that's the case as the Coke bottle isn't faded at all.
An interesting note while not visible in the photo, underneath the yellow paint in the upper left hand corner one can see that the word Drink is underneath the yellow paint.
Would anyone have any information they could share on the story behind Canadian yellow Coca Cola signs?

Hi,this looks like it missed the final step in the painting process. The "drink " would have been yellow lettering, and a yellow border should be around the perimiter. My guess would be the final red coat of paint was missed,or already came off. Nice sign though, late 1940's/early 50's should be worth@$200 IMO. Cheers!
yea pickrknows is right it, its spose to be a red sign i posted the same one a few weeks back its the sign hanging above my vert signs.
Thanks pickrknows and coke.trever.cola for your thoughts. So I guess I have a sign that didn't get it's final red paint!! and here I thought the yellow colour might have been something uniquely Canadian. lol! Thanks
