Art Glass Oddity

I give up! It's too tall for toothpicks, too short for pencils or pens, too narrow for cigarettes... what is this little art glass piece? Still has it's original Czech sticker on the bottom. It's 2 1/2" tall and approx. 3 1/2" across and a little over an inch wide in the middle. The top edge is smooth and flat. Can't find a reference to anything like it anywhere and can't see one like it anywhere. Has anyone any idea what this is? Maybe someone modified a larger piece? I have no idea. HELP! Curiosity is killing me!
