I picked this up yesterday at a flea/antique/junk shop I frequent. It was on a shelf without the calendar.I saw it and thought it was a shame it didn't have the calendar. When I picked it up for a closer look the calendar was under it and 1962 was the year I was born!
This was a freebee.I few months ago I got this HUGE gaudy lamp from freecycle. It was cool but not really my thing and way to big for my limited space so I gave it to Carol.Since then I have gotten a few small items from her and she has refused to let me pay for them. The lilac shade I have on here was one.

This got me looking at ebay, I love these metal ones, this one is a beauty. I remember being in a car in 1962, when they announced that Marilyn Monroe had died, a beautiful sunny day.
