    Had this for some time now, what do you call them? I see that some call them a handkerchief but it pretty thick for that.

      Hankerchief? That just like an odd thing to call that, not that I know what it is.

      It is a pillow cover or pillow sham.

      These were popular service member gifts for loved ones at home.

      I have a couple posted on CW, if you'd like to see similar ones.

      You are correct, I should of known that, I now remember seeing some as pillows in the past and some nicer designs that service men would send back for their lady.
