I would like to share this token I dug with a metal detector several years ago in Orange Grove, Texas.
As you can see, it is a $10.00 trade token from the Ingle System, and is a little larger than a quarter.
Here is what a Token Collectors group told me.
"Ingle was a company that manufactured tokens, and sold change dispensers to merchants. You would order 100 each of various denominations (or other quantities), load them into the dispenser, and press a lever to give out the correct change. The tokens are dated with patent dates, and "Ingle System".
I understand they came in denominations up to $100.00.
