This is the BLOCK lamp, one of the first issued designs by Koskinen.
the most striking thing about it id that lightbulb shape inside an ice loking block of lamp. When lit, the effect is amazing. I removed the electrical stuff (cord, lightbulb, etc) to take the pic, as i wanted to focus on the glass part of it.
This one belongs to the original series of two sizes -this is the small one-. It was later reissued with different coloured cords and later another version of it was reissued in brown/amber glass.

The lighbulb it uses is one of these small halogen bulbs of the sort you can't touch with your barefingers... as simple as that!
