"Tonight we're gonna party like its 1999"
Anyways, found these yesterday in a church garage sale, $5 for whatever you can stuff into a shopping cart. These are pretty amazing, apparently for New Years Eve 1999, to celebrate the new Millennium, which started 2001, the hotel (Fairmont Hotel in San Francisco) had a celebration and gave these plates with the dinner menu?? for the evening. I have been able to discover it originally had a box and wine glass, these did not have that, unfortunately. What I have not been able to find out is, how many of these were produced (how rare is it). I am in the process of contacting the hotel, not sure there will be anyone that will know anything about these. I would love to find a box and glass that went with these. Saw that one had sold recently on Ebay, but was unable to see the price. But no other info on the web. I know they arent old, but it is an interesting millennium collectible. Hoping someone out there would have some idea about these? Are they worth hanging onto for several years, or are there a lot out there?
thanks
