Just picked up this nice Kilgore train today at a local flea market. I love not having to guess on the manufacturer, cast iron can be really tricky when nailing down a maker. I'm not a big train collector, but I really couldn't go wrong for $20!
Always nice to see good old casting like this; thin, detailed and generally lovely. Is there anyone who even makes cast this fine anymore?
I tossed in a little Barclay train I bought back in the early days for comparison. The Kilgore engine is only about 4" long.
