I HAD SOME BOOKS I BOUGHT AT AN AUCTION ABOUT A MONTH AGO. I FINALLY SAT DOWN TODAY AND LOOKED AT THEM. THIS WAS FOLDED UP IN ONE OF THEM . GOES TO SHOW YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL FIND OR WHERE. I HAVE NO IDEA AS TO VALUE IF ANY BUT LIKE THESE TYPE OF THINGS. MUST OF BEEN AROUND THE TIME OF THE SPANISH AMERICAN WAR?

You are correct it is the Spanish American War.
The 5th MO trained at Camp Thomas, GA (vic. Chickamauga battlefield), but never made it overseas for the fight. Like many regiments it was mustered out stateside due to the quick resolution of the War.
