Alright Oilman, the first two i know about!!! The Conoco i matched up with my (known to be 100% original) #2 Royal pump sign. I did have concerns, COMPLETELY unscared surfaces, & the green didnt seem to be as dark as the other examples ive seen, & at 265.00 completely RETAIL!! The Sky-Chief w/petrox sign is also copa-setic . And, ive seen this Pure pump plate a few times before. Oh boy, cant wait till they start re-popin the embossed plastic 60s & up signs!!!!!!!! Mikie

Love the condition of the conoco. I like the earlier plastic signs like the pure firebird pump plate. I pick them up when ever i can as the value of them are only going to go up.
Thaks EJW-54 & the computer genious oilman, i would bet u must live in Indiana, seems like thats the "hotbed" for petroliana these days. Its NOT Okla., seems like when Sunoco bought out D-X, (& moved the main hedq.) they took all the signs with them!!! Tulsa was considered "the oil capitol of the world" up until the international petrolium expo. (which was headq. here up until the early 80s) i think , moved on down the road. We went every year, all i really remember is that they always had a jeep equiped with a Ramsey winch that was attatched to one of the huge building support beams (must have been more than 50 feet in the air), that jeep would wench itself up & down that building the entire conv. that impressed me!!
