I have had this jar ever since I was a kid. After watching a few antique shows I am interested on the age of this jar. I believe this is the original lid. Looks early. Has the number 3 on the bottom. I believe I have 1 and 2 but there smaller sizes. Mayb anyone could help me out with the age I would greatly apreciate it. Mayb the price of it for insurance reasons.

I do a lot of canning every year. I believe you have a 1/2 gallon fruit canning jar. They go for about $10 apiece.
Check ebay, 5-10 dollars. These are quite common.
Love the lid!
