These are all 7x11 inches (17.7cmx27.8cm) matte finished photographs. They are printed on high grade photo paper. And though there is no photographer credit, these appear to be professionally done.
All were photographed around the Scranton, PA area circa 1960.
The first depicts a trio of Lackawanna Fairbanks-Morse diesels pulling a string of empty coal cars. The second displays a Lackawanna freight train under power, while the third item features an Erie-Lackawanna passenger train shortly after an Eastward departure from the Scranton station. Note the two Erie baggage/mail cars following the engines. And lastly, we see a Lackawanna switcher somewhere in the Scranton area.
Re: The Lackawanna Freight Train photo, where you will notice some TOFCs, or as they called them in those days "Piggy-Back Service". The DL&W was a pioneer regarding this type of service. How different things would have been if they had developed this concept to a fuller extent!
