My Grandfather was in in World War II, in the Navy, & he sent this "Mickey Mouse Children's Porcelain Tea Set" stamped "Made In Occupied Japan W.D.P" home for my mother, when she was approximately 1-1/2 years old. As his ship was headed home when two Kamikaze's Suicide Bombers crashed into the ship, started a gasoline explosion & the ship sank within minutes. That was May 28th 1945 so this Tea Set had to be made Pre- 1945.
It's bad enough I know so little about my Grandfather but, I can't even seem to find out very much about this Tea Set. I believe this is fairly rare. These pieces have the Original Design of Clothing on Mickey & Minnie Mouse. The Set is made of Porcelain, but a few piece are chipped. If anyone has any knowledge, or can tell me where to find out more about this I would greatly appreciate it. I only seen one other like this, and it was only one piece, on the internet, it was auctioned on E-bay, but It wouldn't state how much it brought. Not that I am interested in selling, but, I would just like to know it's value. If anyone can tell me more about this, I would extremely appreciate it.
Thank-You ! !

Made between 1945 and late 1951, and these, as all "Occupied Japan" are increasing in value. These type of pieces(Occupied) have grown in popularity in the last few years and Mickey is always a goodie. VERY Nice set, thanks for sharing.
It is also called " Lusterware " .
