Bought this what I think is a Mexican textile a number of years ago. I believe it is from Mexico Saltillo region. I've seen a few others but wondered about the exceptional fringe on this blanket. I would love to know more about the possible date of it's manufacture and the materials used in it's construction. I've always assumed it was wool but unsure of the fringe material. Any information or comments would be greatly appreciated. Measures appx. 30 inches across by 66 inches top to bottom with fringe.

The fringe is cotton. This style of knotting on the ends was popular in the 1950's, and earlier.
