This is one of my most prized garage sale scores.I saw it and would have paid anything for it.I paid $10 which for me is top dollar!
I have done a bit of research and think it is art from a village in Bali that specialises in this type of art.It was purchased in the 1960's but not sure of it's age,it is painted on felt type of material.
I bought it just a week after my very good friend passed away and she told me whenever you see a butterfly think of me.Needless to say I cried when I saw it and as we are a fishing family and the fish in pic was a MUST HAVE!
Love it! Your friend was saying hello, so sweet.
The village of Ubud in Bali is well known for this type of art.I will keep researching.
