This cane belonged to a relative who passed away years ago, it may have belonged to her father. Nobody knew that it contained an ornate dagger inside, until someone pushed on what looked like a knot on the handle. Does anyone know the age or value?

Any markings on the blade? Maker? Could be 18th or 19th century. During that time it was standard for the Gentleman of the day to carry a cane/sword for protection. Here is a link for one close to yours. Dave

There are no marks on the blade.
