The long run of absolutely nothing at the thrifts pretty much still continues, but I did find this attractive 6"x 8" jardinere. The gilt is in really good condition for it's age with minimal wear. No chips or cracks either. Interesting to find out it was locally made. These pieces are highly collectible especially their more whimsical ones such as the little"glamour girl" head planters from the 60's. I remember my grandmother having a few of those. They were also good at European style decorative items such as this jardinere which imitates Wedgwood and Serves porcelain. -Mike-

Brief History from Midwest Auctions and Sales Court:
The Inarco Company known as International Art Ware Corporation started in Cleveland Ohio, and was founded by Irwin Garber in 1960.
A designer by trade, Garber had a penchant for the artistic side of figurines; indeed, his own wife, Roselle, is believed to have been a model for a number of the company's head vases. In its beginnings, the company imported ceramic and glass floral containers and giftware. In 1986, INARCO moved to Jacksonville, Florida, after it was purchased by Japanese giftware distributor, Napco.

Sorry I missed this. Wedgewood is so weird. I know no one who really collects it yet so iconic I literally picked up a plastic serving bowls that looks identical to WW. Plastic. I was excited when I saw it, then plastic. Still bought it...yes, hoarder. Actually the de-hoard, as agreed upon with hubby, starts next week...sniff. And yea!
