    The trunk has cast Iron Hardware. It did have a green canvas covering, but I removed it because of damage. Very strong and sturdy trunk. That's all I know.

      This is a lovey flat top trunk. It was made about the late 1880s to 1890s if the hardware is cast. The process of using stamped metal caught on after that time. The wood is beautiful. Please provide a shot of other views. Thanks for the post.
